Tony Amato founded Equinox Benefit Solutions, LLC in 2014 to provide a wide variety of clients with innovative, business-driven solutions for their employee benefits programs. His aim is to provide a more personalized approach to consulting, while still giving clients the benefit of the knowledge, expertise, and connections he gained from running benefits programs in large corporations. He brings over 25 years of leadership experience to Equinox, including a position as Global VP of Compensation and Benefits for Discovery Communications, Inc., a company with over 5,000 employees in 27 countries.

Tony started his career with Aetna Life & Casualty in the Employee Benefits Division. He has held long-term leadership roles managing global benefits programs for companies such as the Oprah Winfrey Network, CSS Studios, The HUB, Hard Rock Café International, and Discovery Communications. 

Tony is a Certified Compensation Professional through World at Work and has earned the Global Professional Human Resources certification through the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). He has won several awards throughout his career, including the Silver Flame Award from the International Association of Benefits Communications and the "Best in Show" Business Insurance Employee Benefits Communication Award. He has also been featured in the New York Times for his innovative benefits programs.
